10 places to get awesome iPad Pro wallpapers.
The lack of decent wallpaper on the iPad Pro results in you browsing tons of images online. You start out with a set of “wallpapers for iPad Pro” and that is probably how you ended up in this article. While many wallpaper apps appear on your screen as advertisements when you view Instagram or Facebook stories, in most cases, they turn out to be bogus and either contain too many ads or cost too much money. So, I’ve compiled a list of sources and apps where you can quickly find great wallpapers.
Changing your wallpaper on the iPad is easy: just go to the Settings app, tap Wallpaper, and then tap Choose New Wallpaper. You can choose from standard Apple wallpapers or your own photo library. Tap on the wallpaper you like and set it as your lock screen or home screen wallpaper.
Below are the iPad Pro dimensions to look out for.
- iPad Pro 10.5 ″: 1668 x 2224
- iPad Pro 11 ″: 2388 x 1668
- iPad Pro 12.9 ″: 2732 x 2048
First, if you don’t need an additional application for this task, I have several sources that might interest you.
1. Central wallpapers
ispazio.net is probably the easiest way to get the official Apple wallpapers for your devices. The iPad Pro just got a refresh in 2020 with a new set of wallpapers, but you don’t have to spend $ 800 to get one. You can download and install the official wallpaper on your iPhone, iPad or even your desktop. All wallpapers are free and all they ask for in return is that you give credit to @ispazio.

Poolga is basically a collection of art and illustration for iOS devices created by some of the best artists from around the world. The site has over 1000 artists currently on a long list. This is a very useful and easy source of wallpapers. You can choose to view wallpapers specific to your device, or by artist names, if you know some of them and are subscribed to them.
Visit Poolga.com (Free Download)
For those of you familiar with the name, you guessed it. There is a dedicated subreddit where people keep sharing wallpapers for their iPad Pro. The community is growing every day and you can find some great art pieces on the page. The only downside might be the lack of a category filter.
Visit Reddit (Free Download)
4. Alex Ross (artist)
Alex Ross is an artist from Chicago who is quite popular in some Reddit community. His Twitter page is considered a good and updated source for great artistic wallpapers. Oh! and he is a fan of Marvel or, as you can see from the review of his page.

iPadable is a dedicated website dedicated to all iPad related topics. While the website features accessories, tutorials, and apps, they have shared a page with a collection of over 100 wallpapers. You can simply download a quality image from this page.

You’ve probably heard about this, and I must say it is for the right reasons. Unsplash is basically a wallpaper search engine and a very diverse collection. Wallpapers are created by thousands of artists and photographers from all over the world.
The app has a search bar where you can search by keywords, titles, artists, and more. The updated collection is displayed on the main page of the app. You can also choose to view by topic and category. The app also has a dark mode, although I don’t see much value.
Download Unsplash (Free)
Pexels is another great wallpaper finder app, offering a wide range of updated database. You can search by keyword, artist name, various topics, etc. The interface of the app is perfect for topic searches. You can also join the Pexels community, subscribe to the collection, and share it with others.

Vellum seems to be very artistic and has nothing but a wallpaper database. This was among the popular recommendations in some of the Reddit threads, so I had to try it, but to my surprise, this app hasn’t even been optimized for iPad Pro 2018 yet. But you can still browse through a range of designs and images, after all, you need to download and set the picture as wallpaper.
Download Vellum (Free, $ 2 for ad-free version)
9. HD wallpapers
Another popular recommendation not optimized for my iPad Pro. But you can still browse the amazing collection of images to download. As the name suggests, all images are of high quality. You can also upload your wallpaper from the app itself.
Download HD Wallpaper (Free, In-App Purchase)
Otherwise, this is a normal wallpaper app, Everpix has several exclusive categories such as calendar, quotes, 3D, etc. I can’t say to what extent it justifies the asking price, but loud ads in the free version can drive you crazy … Click on the image on the preview page to see how the icons and clock are displayed on the screen.
Download Everpix (Free, $ 30 / year for the premium version)
Enough honorable mention, Pixabay is another database with a great wallpaper database.
Download Pixabay (Free)
While there are many apps with a huge pool of wallpapers from all over the world, I would still consider using one of the online sources. The main reason for this is that the apps don’t even set the wallpaper so you can opt-out of automation. Another reason is that because you need to upload an image, you can eventually access Pool or one of your favorite artists. This way, you will save tons of time browsing Google images and you will not have to worry about another application. Make your choice and share your experience in the comments below.
