Skype will notify all participants that the call is being recorded.
You can only record Skype-to-Skype calls.
For video calls, Skype combines all streams in a recording, including yours.
If you share your screen during a meeting, the recording will include the screen share.
The maximum duration of one call recording is 24 hours. If it is longer, the recording can be split into several files.
When you leave the call, recording will automatically stop. It will be available for 30 days, during which you can save, listen, or share with others.

How to Record Skype Calls on Windows 10

If you are using a Windows 10 PC, the recording happens in the cloud (on Microsoft servers) where it is stored for 30 days, so no local storage is required to save it.

First, open Skype and press the audio or video button to start a session.

Click the button with three dots in the lower right corner to open the menu.

Then select “Start Recording” and Skype will start recording your audio or video call.

Select the menu in the lower right corner and select Stop Recording. Alternatively, select “Stop Recording” in the upper left corner of the screen.

When you stop recording, you will see an audio or video communication in the Skype chat window. From here, you can save, play, share, or manually download it to save on your computer.

You can download or delete a recording of a Skype conversation.

How to Record Skype Calls on Mac

Recording a Skype call on a Mac is as easy as it is on a Windows 10 PC. Here’s how.

Start a Skype audio or video call on your Mac. Click the + button at the bottom right of the screen and then select Start Recording to record your session. All participants will receive a banner notification at the top of the screen that you are recording the current session.

Just before ending the session, select Stop Recording at the top of the screen, or simply end the call.

Go to chat and select menu> More options> Save to downloads to save the recording.

Note. You can also record audio or video calls for free using QuickTime Player on Mac. Open QuickTime on your Mac, choose File> New Screen Recording.

Press the Record button to start recording your Skype call, and then press the Stop button to stop recording, or press Command + Ctrl + Escape on your keyboard.

Who Can Record a Google Meet

Currently, Google does not offer the Google Meet recording feature to everyone. This means that if you have a free personal Google account, you won’t see the write option.

Whether you’re putting together an interview with your next employee, scheduling a potential business meeting, or just want to keep track of important conversations, it’s always a good idea to record your calls. So far, there are plenty of apps ready to record your call on smartphones. How to record Skype calls?

To use the app, just call Skype and hit the record button and you’re done. You will also see these options in the action center, which you can use to stop / start recording, because the floating button will disappear after you start recording since you have enabled clean recording mode.

Let’s start. Download Apowersoft Screen Recorder to your iOS device. Make sure your iPhone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. Yes, you will need both for this. Visit this page to download and install the desktop version.

Launch the desktop application and make the necessary settings such as video quality, file format, and file save location. Now on your iPhone, swipe from the bottom to open Control Center and open Airplay Mirroring. You should see a TV icon with the name of your desktop computer. Click on it to connect.

You will now see your iPhone’s screen displayed on the desktop. Launch Skype and start a video call. When the call starts, click the video recording button on your computer and it will start recording your Skype video call. When you click the stop button, you will see a popup with the recorded video.

3. Record Skype video call on Windows / Mac

Skype video call recording on macOS and Windows is similar. Just record your desktop screen with decent screen recording software and you’re good to go. To record the audio portion, make sure the internal microphone is selected as the audio source.

We tested Skype conversation recording on macOS using built-in QuickTime and it worked great for both audio and video. However, make sure you are recording no more than 720p, otherwise it can cause your computer to heat up and crash in between calls.
