How To Download Shows and Movies From Netflix.
As one of the most famous streaming services, you or someone you know should definitely have a Netflix account You don’t have to sit in front of the TV to watch unmissable movies or unmissable TV shows because you can watch Netflix on your smartphone or tablet, giving you portable access to thousands of hours of entertainment.
However, not everyone has high-speed mobile Internet access capable of streaming Netflix on the go. Netflix solves this problem by giving its subscribers the ability to download Netflix content as long as a Netflix subscription is active. If you want to know how to download files from Netflix, you need to do the following.
How to download from Netflix on Windows
If you want to download Netflix shows and movies on Windows 10 PC, you need to first download and install the Netflix app from the Microsoft Store. To do this, you will need to sign in with your Netflix username and password and have an active Netflix subscription.
- After installing the Netflix app on your computer, open the TV show or movie you want to download. On the information page, before starting the game, click the “Download” icon. You will need to repeat this for every single episode of the TV show that you want to download.
- Once the download has started, you can pause or cancel it by clicking on the round progress icon that replaces the download icon. From the drop-down menu, select “Pause Download” to pause the download, or “Cancel Download” to cancel it.
- In the My Downloads menu, you can also view the progress of your current downloads, as well as view a list of completed downloads. If the download continues, click on the download progress bar at the bottom of the Netflix app to open this list. You can also access this menu by clicking the hamburger menu icon on the left and then selecting the My Downloads option.
- The list of downloads will be visible in the “My Downloads” menu. The Smart Downloads option will be visible in the upper right corner. This setting ensures that the next available TV show in the series always downloads when you’re online, while deleting the previously viewed episode.
This will help limit the use of Netflix’s data storage. If you want to disable this setting, tap the Smart Downloads option, then move the Enable Smart Downloads slider to Off.
- To start playing a downloaded TV show or movie, click one of the options in the My Downloads menu, then click the play icon in the center of the content thumbnail.
- To remove content, click the checkmark icon in the lower right corner, then select the Delete Upload option.
It is advisable to follow these steps and download from Netflix over an Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, making sure that your internet connection has no data limitation.

How to Download from Netflix on Mac
While iPhone and iPad users can download files from Netflix using the official Netflix app, this option is not suitable for Mac users. You can stream content from the Netflix website using a web browser, but you cannot download the content to your device for offline viewing.
No app – no downloads. Mac users are left out of this and have no viable solution to the problem other than trying screen recordings This is a potential gray area with the law, so we cannot recommend this option (and will most likely result in lower video quality).
Use broadcast platforms on the go
With a Netflix subscription and mobile device, you can freely watch your favorite shows and movies without an Internet connection if you know how to download them from Netflix. This will save your data for more important things like using a mobile hotspot for your laptop.
If you stay closer to home, worry not – you can stream Netflix to your TV using anything from your smartphone to Apple TV. Other services are available, including Apple + and Hulu. Like Netflix, you can watch Hulu shows offline to save data and keep watching even if you have a bad connection.
