You can record or add up to 60 seconds of video footage per Pin Idea page, for a total of 20 pages.

Once you’ve created an idea pin, you can add a title and additional information so others can find it in search results. The idea pin feature has a lot of tools to make it easy to create great content, so let’s go through a step-by-step guide to actually creating an idea pin.

How to Create an Idea Pin

Before you get started, you’ll need to use a Pinterest business account to generate ideas. You can do this by going to your profile settings, then to your account settings and clicking “Convert to business account”.

If you have a business account, you can follow the steps below to create an idea pin.

On the Pinterest home page, tap the plus sign in the bottom middle of the screen.

Click on the idea icon.

You will be taken to the idea pin creation screen. From here, you can record videos directly by clicking the red record button, or you can add videos/photos already on your device by clicking the square at the bottom left.

If you are recording a video, click “Next” in the top right corner after recording is complete. On the next screen, you can edit or add clips, as well as add text, music or audio, filters, and stickers. When you’re done editing your post, click Done in the top right corner.

This will add your first page and you can now see all your current pages on this screen. To add a page, click Add Page in the bottom right corner. You can also duplicate, split or delete pages. If you like, you can click “Preview” to see the entire idea pin.

If you choose to add videos or photos from your camera roll, you can use the slider at the bottom of the screen above the selected media file to choose whether to create new pages for each or merge them into one page. You can select 20 clips per page, but they must be less than a minute long.

Once you have added all the desired pages, click “Next” in the upper right corner.

On the next screen, you can add your title. You can also add a grocery list if your idea is something like a recipe or a DIY project so people know what they need to recreate it on their own. You can then optionally select a board to pin this on and tag a topic related to your idea’s pin.

Once you’ve finished publishing, you can click Publish.

To find a published idea pin, you need to click on your profile and view the Created tab. Your new idea icon will appear at the top.

Tips for Creating an Idea Pin

While it’s pretty easy to make an idea pin on Pinterest, there are a few secondary tools and features you can use to make your idea pins even better.

Use ghost mode

This is an easy way to line up new takes when recording video. If you’re trying to make some kind of transition or want to make sure you have good continuity, click on the ghost icon in the bottom right corner after recording the clip.

This mode will allow you to see the final frame of your last clip superimposed on your camera. From there, you can build the themes of your video to make it look professional.

Use a timer

Another useful tool is a timer for automatic video recording. To use it, click on the timer icon on the right side of the recording screen and choose how long you want it to count down. Then, when you hit the record button, a timer will start so you can remove your hands and take a seat to record.

Save drafts

Want to save your editing pin idea for later? You can do this by saving it as a draft. On the pages screen, tap the X in the top left corner. With stickers, you can mention other accounts, tag specific products, and more. To find these stickers, go to the page edit screen and click “Stickers” in the bottom right corner. From there, you can browse stickers by category or search for the ones you want to use.

Create voice-over

A voice-over can help explain what’s going on in your idea. To create one, go to the edit screen of the page you want to voice and click on the “Audio” icon in the bottom menu, which looks like a microphone.

From there, you can move along the timeline to where you want the voiceover to begin, and then hit the record button at the bottom middle to start. Then click on it again to stop it. Another handy tip: You can change the volume of the different types of audio added to the page by clicking the slider icon in the lower right corner of the voiceover screen.

It looks like Facebook’s polls feature has changed over time, which can make it hard to find. You used to be able to create a poll in Publishing Tools for a Facebook Page you manage. However, it is currently no longer available.

At the time of this writing, you can create a survey in a group that you belong to or manage. You can also create a smaller version of the poll when creating a story on mobile.

Let’s go over your options so you know where and how to create a poll on Facebook.

Create a Poll in a Facebook Group

If you are a member of or manage a Facebook group, you can create a survey on the Facebook website or mobile app. In addition, it would be ideal to collect the opinions of group members with similar interests.

Create an online survey

Go to Facebook.com, sign in and select the “Groups” tab at the top.Select a group on the left under “Groups you manage” or “Groups you’ve joined”.On the group page on the right, you can see the Poll item in the list below the Write something field where you would normally add a post. You can create a poll in a group on the Facebook mobile app with all the same options as on the web.

Open the Facebook app on your device, select the “Menu” tab and select “Groups”.Select a group at the top, or tap “My Groups” and select the one you want.If you see “Poll” in the list below the text in the “Write something” field, select it. If not, tap the “Write something” field and select “Poll” from the pop-up window at the bottom of the screen.

Create a Poll in Your Story

As mentioned, you can create a small version of a two-response survey for a personal Facebook account or business page that you manage by creating a story. Unfortunately, this option is currently only available on the Facebook mobile app for Android and iOS, not on the web.

Open the Facebook app, go to the “Home” tab and click “Create Story” at the top.Select the type of story you want to create. The poll feature works with all types except text.Create your story according to the type you chose above, but don’t post it yet.Tap the sticker icon at the top or right, whichever your type of story. Select Poll from the list of options on the Stickers tab.

You will then see a field to enter a question along with “Yes” and “No” answers. Enter your question and optionally select Yes or No to use your own text or keyboard emoji as your answer options.Tap Done at the top, and when you’re done creating your story, tap Share to Story ‘.

Although this poll is slightly different from the one you can create in a multiple choice group, it still gives you the option to ask a simple question and get one of two answers from your Facebook friends.

View Poll Results

No matter what type of survey you create and where, you can see the results by viewing the post or story.

For a group post, just view the poll post to see the number of votes for the answer and who voted.

For history, open your history to view the results, or swipe up on history to see the exact number of votes and who voted.

Keep in mind that Facebook Stories disappear from News Feed after 24 hours. However, if you save stories to your Facebook account archive, you can view them there after they disappear.

What’s a Twitter Thread?

Previously, each tweet had a strict 140 character limit, which was all you could write in a single Twitter post. However, as the platform evolved, Twitter users continued to ask for more space to express themselves. Because Twitter didn’t want its users to switch to another platform like Snapchat or Instagram, they introduced new post formats.

Today you can post longer tweets, polls, GIFs, images and videos, fleets and themes. The Twitter thread is a relatively new feature.

A Twitter thread is a series of related tweets posted by the same Twitter user. They are linked together by the “Reply” function and appear as one continuous tweet with a second and other additional tweets attached to the original tweet-like comments.

How to Add a Sun Glare Effect

First you need to place the clip you want to create the sun flare effect for on the timeline at the right place. You can then follow the steps below to add sun highlights.

Go to the effects panel. Then choose Video Effects > Create > Highlights.

Click and drag the Lens Flare effect and apply it to the selected clip.

Once applied, you’ll see that it’s just a static image of the optical flare, and you’ll want to make a few adjustments to make it look natural.

Select the clip you applied the Flare effect to and look at the Effect Controls panel. In the Lens Flare section, you’ll have quite a few customization options to match your video. You can preview the changes in the video playback panel.

In the Flash Intensity section, you can change the intensity of the main light point to create a dim or bright light. You can change this to match the light levels of your footage.

Use the Lens Type option to simulate the effect of lens flare from different types of lenses. You can change this if one of the options looks better to you.

The Blend With Original option helps blend the lens flares into the clip by changing the opacity and blend mode of the effect if you want a subtle look.

Animating the Lens Flare Effect
