Watch Face Not Changing Automatically? Try These N Fixes

Your watch may not automatically change its wallpaper if it is outdated or disconnected from your iPhone. Bugs in your iPhone’s operating system can also cause the problem. If your watch face isn’t changing to match time or location automation, these troubleshooting tips should fix the issue:

Turn off Airplane Mode on Apple Watch

Airplane mode disconnects the Apple Watch from the iPhone. Swipe up from the bottom of the watch face and check the top right corner of the Control Center.

If there’s a red crossed-out phone icon in the top right corner, your Apple Watch isn’t connected to your iPhone. Disabling Airplane Mode should fix this issue.

Scroll down to Control Center, tap the orange airplane icon, and wait until the iPhone icon turns green.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

June 17, 2022 by feecalculator_x6rbod

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?.

Time Machine is the best way to protect the data on your Mac. It is able to fully automate backups and makes it easy to restore files and folders. When using Time Machine, you may sometimes need to free up space by deleting certain backup files and snapshots.

Read on to learn how to delete Time Machine backups from external and internal media on Mac.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

Why You Must Delete Time Machine Backups

When you set up Time Machine on an external drive, it creates a permanent archive of backups or snapshots of your Mac’s data. This allows you to restore specific versions of files and folders, sometimes years old. Time Machine is smart enough to delete the oldest snapshots to free up space, making manual storage space management unnecessary.

However, if you are also using the backup drive as a personal storage medium (only possible if it is formatted in HFS+ or Mac OS Extended format), you can delete all previous backups of any file or folder to free up space. Or you can delete certain pictures.

In addition, Time Machine stores hourly snapshots of your data locally if you don’t have a Time Machine drive connected. If you run out of space on your Mac’s internal storage, you can delete individual or all local snapshots via the Terminal.

Delete File and Folder Backups via Time Machine

Time Machine allows you to delete all backups of any file or folder on an external hard drive or SSD. The following steps do not apply to APFS (Apple File System) Time Machine drives.

1. Connect your Time Machine drive to your Mac.

2. Select the Time Machine icon in the menu bar and select Sign In to Time Machine. Or open the launcher and select Other > Time Machine.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

3. Navigate to the location of the file or folder and select it. If you have already deleted this item, use the timeline to the right of Time Machine until you find it in the previous snapshot.

4. Select the gear icon at the top of the Finder window and select “Delete all [file/folder name] backups”.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

5. Select OK in the confirmation popup.

6. Enter your Mac’s administrator password and click OK to confirm.

Time Machine will continue to include the file or folder in new backups. If you want to stop this, you must add it to Time Machine’s exclusion list (more on this below).

Delete Time Machine Snapshots Using Finder

Time Machine stores incremental backups of your files and folders as individual snapshots. You can delete them directly by accessing the Time Machine drive through Finder. This is possible on both HFS+ and APFS Time Machine drives.

1. Launch Finder and select your Time Machine backup drive from the sidebar.

2. Open the Backups.backupdb folder and then the [Your Mac Name] subfolder to access your Time Machine backups. If the drive uses the APFS format, all snapshots will be in the root directory.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

3. Find the Time Machine snapshot you want to delete. Since snapshot file names are displayed in YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS format, try sorting them using the Name column to make it easier to find the specific snapshot you want to delete.

4. Control-click the photo you want to delete and select Move to Trash.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

5. Select Continue to confirm.

6. Enter your Mac’s administrator password and click OK.

7. Control-click or right-click the Recycle Bin icon in the Mac Dock and select Empty Trash.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

Note. If you are unable to empty the Trash, you need to disable System Integrity Protection on your Mac. To do this, enter the Terminal through macOS Recovery and run the disable csrutil command.

Delete Time Machine Snapshots Using Terminal

An alternative way to delete Time Machine snapshots involves using the terminal on macOS. You start by listing all the snapshot pathnames in a terminal window. You then re-run the command to remove the desired snapshots.

1. Connect your Time Machine drive to your Mac.

2. Open the launcher and select Other > Terminal.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

3. Run the following terminal command to view the list of Time Machine snapshots:

list of tmutil backups

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

On HFS+ Time Machines drives, you will see the full path to each snapshot. If the drive is formatted in APFS format, you will only see a list of filenames.

4. Run the following command to delete the snapshot, replacing snapshot-path/name with the path (HFS+) or name (APFS) of the backup, enclosing it in double quotes:

sudo tmutil remove “snapshot path/name”

5. Enter your Mac’s administrator password to authenticate the action and press Enter.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

6. Repeat these steps for any other pictures you want to delete.

Delete Local Snapshots Using Terminal

Time Machine creates automatic hourly snapshots of your Mac’s local storage, giving you the ability to recover a limited amount of data even if you don’t have a backup drive with you. However, if you run out of free space soon, you can delete them via the Terminal.

1. Open Launchpad and select Other > Terminal.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

2. Run the following command to open the list of local snapshots:

tmutil listlocalssnapshots /

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

3. Delete the Time Machine snapshot using the command below, replacing [snapshot-name] with the snapshot name (only the YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS part):

sudo tmutil deletelocalsnapshots [snapshot name]

4. Enter your Mac’s administrator password to authenticate the action and press Enter.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

5. Repeat these steps for any other pictures you want to delete.

Disable Local Snapshots (macOS Sierra and Earlier Only)

If you’re a Mac user with macOS 10.12 Sierra or earlier, you can prevent Time Machine from taking local snapshots. This action also forcibly deletes all local snapshots. You can re-enable local snapshots if you wish.

To do this, open the Terminal and run the following command line:

sudo tmutil disablelocal

Run the following command if you want to reactivate local Time Machine snapshots:

sudo tmutil enablelocal

Exclude Files and Folders in Time Machine

You can prevent Time Machine from including certain files and folders in your backups. This is ideal if you want to keep certain items from taking up space on your Time Machine drive, such as temporary files like Safari or Apple TV downloads.

1. Control-click or right-click the System Preferences icon in the Mac Dock and select Time Machine.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

2. Click the Options button in the lower right corner of the Time Machine window.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

3. Select Add (plus icon).

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

4. Select the file or folder you want to exclude and click Exclude.

How do I delete a Time Machine backup?

5. Repeat these steps for any other files or folders you want to exclude.

Cleanup Complete

Deleting old Time Machine backups can help you free up space, but it’s best to let Time Machine do its thing and only intervene if available storage starts to run low. Also, don’t forget that you can exclude items from your backups and prevent the Time Machine drive from filling up faster.

Facebook Touch – How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

February 4, 2022 by feecalculator_x6rbod

Facebook Touch – How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?.

The Facebook apps for Android and iOS are doing pretty well after years of revision and development. However, it’s not the only choice when it comes to a touch-optimized way to access your Facebook account. Facebook Touch may not be in the spotlight, but it’s the mobile browser version of Facebook that offers more than just touch optimization.

Facebook Touch - How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

Before Smartphones We Had Touch!

You might immediately think of “smartphone” when someone mentions a touchscreen, but that wasn’t the case when Facebook Touch was created in 2009. The first iPhone and Android phones only came out a year or two, so most mobile users didn’t have touchscreen smartphones. It was completely unclear which mobile operating systems would come out on top, but social media was already widely popular.

Therefore, it made sense to create a touch interface for Facebook that is not tied to any particular operating system and allows for the highest possible potential number of Facebook users.

Facebook Touch - How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

You can’t download and install FaceBook Touch because it’s browser-based, but that’s the beauty of it. If you have a compatible browser installed on your touch screen device, you can use Facebook Touch.

This raises the question of why Facebook Touch still exists and is actively maintained. After all, today almost all smartphones run Android or iOS, so why not abandon Facebook Touch?

Not All Touchscreens Are Android or iOS

While it may seem like everyone you know has an Android or iOS device, it is estimated that global smartphone penetration was 78% in 2020, which is a huge number but still means that over a billion people do not yet have a device. smartphone.

Presumably, a significant percentage of people who do not have a smartphone use conventional phones. Feature phones can still work with limited browsers, and Facebook Touch works well on those types of devices.

Facebook Touch - How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

Keep in mind that some modern touch screen devices do not use iOS or Android. Ubuntu Touch devices and Windows touchscreen laptops are examples of this. However, Facebook Touch can work with any suitable browser, so whatever operating system your device is running, it will be a decent and user-friendly interface.

What About the Mobile Site?

“Wait,” you might be thinking, “Facebook’s mobile site is also designed for touch!” Yes, the mobile website was originally designed for touchscreen devices.

However, Facebook Touch still has advantages over it. The most important ones are that it is less cluttered, uses less data, and works better on devices with a relatively low resolution screen. So even if you have a low end Android or iOS device or an old phone, Facebook Touch is a good solution. This brings us to the next major benefit of Facebook Touch – speed!

Facebook Touch Is Fast!

Because Facebook Touch is a stripped-down version of the full-featured Facebook mobile app or desktop site, it doesn’t require a lot of resources. This means it works well on inexpensive phones or devices and absolutely flies on something newer or better.

If your Facebook needs fall within the limited functionality of Facebook Touch, and if you spend a lot of time on Facebook, the small size of Facebook Touch can add to the time saved.

Facebook Touch - How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

It’s a Good Low-Bandwidth Choice

Facebook Touch isn’t just handy for weak processors; it’s also a good fallback when you’re somewhere where you can’t get 3G or faster connections. Plain 3G is also too slow for a modern Facebook experience these days, but if you’re diving into GPRS territory, Facebook Touch can help. A nice bonus is that you do not need to download the application. Simply access the touch site from your device’s browser whenever you need to. This is the perfect solution for accessing social networks on a slow internet connection.

You Might Get Better Image Quality

While this is hard to prove as a universal situation, it seems that some users typically get high-quality images on their devices when an app or full mobile website doesn’t always do their best. It’s probably not Facebook’s fault; it’s just that when you have a device with limited bandwidth or processor power, images can load faster and videos will likely play with little to no stuttering.

Facebook Touch Uses Less Power

Modern smartphones have impressive battery life, but when you get down to the last few percentage points, you’ll want to conserve as much power as possible. The Facebook Touch website can help give your battery a bit of a boost as it only loads the minimum content needed to use Facebook. There’s a lot going on in the apps and the full mobile web page, and in some cases, they can consume a lot of power.

The Downsides of Facebook Touch

Obviously, Facebook Touch has its uses, but some things are far from perfect.

First, it doesn’t work very well in a desktop internet browser as it was never designed for large, high resolution displays. There is no desktop version of Facebook Touch, so the site just stretches awkwardly on a desktop browser screen.

The user interface isn’t that great either, especially if you’re using Facebook on mobile devices that are powerful enough to run the official mobile apps without issue.

Facebook Lite Is a Better Alternative

If you’re using Facebook Touch for speed and bandwidth reasons, and you have an Android or iOS device, you’re probably better off using the Facebook Lite app. This is a special version of the official Facebook app designed for low-end devices or users with a very slow mobile internet connection.

Facebook Touch - How to Login and Is It Worth Your Time?

If you remember to download, install and log into the app before you get stuck in the middle of nowhere, it could save your life when the signal bars start to drop.

The Facebook Touch App for Android

You may have come across an app called Touch for Facebook, but it’s important to know that this app has nothing to do with Facebook. This app is made by developer Lighthouse (formerly H5) and cannot be installed from the Google Play Store. Instead, you need to download the APK file and then install it on your Android device. You also need to enable unknown sources on your Android mobile device before you can install the Facebook Touch APK.

As a general rule, we do not recommend using a third-party app downloaded from a source other than the official Google Play store. You are always at risk of malware when installing third party apps. Also, we think it’s a bad idea to use your Facebook credentials to sign in to a third party app.

As always, it’s up to you if you want to take the risk of running an app like this on your phone, but you should do so with the full understanding that this is not an official decision.

Who Should Use Facebook Touch?

Since even the cheapest mobile phones are now quite powerful and most people can run the official Facebook app without any problems, the list of people who should use Facebook Touch is getting shorter every day. However, we think there are a few people who could win:

Users with feature phones.Users with non-Android or iOS devices (such as Windows Phone or Ubuntu Touch).

li>Suppose. you have access problems on a smartphone with standard applications. However, before returning to Facebook Touch, you should also familiarize yourself with the phone’s built-in accessibility features.

Everyone else must use the official app, the regular website, or the Facebook Lite app. If they don’t work for you, you can switch back to Facebook Touch.

When To Post on TikTok: Things You Need to Keep in Mind

When you create a video that you think is going to “explode,” your first impulse might be to post it immediately. If you want more engagement, you should fight that instinct and create a strategy for posting your content on TikTok.

TikTok’s algorithm determines which videos appear on the For You page based on repeat views and engagement. This means that in order to grow your audience, you need to make sure that you publish your content when people are watching. There are several factors to consider when choosing the best time to post a video on TikTok.

But if you want people from other parts of the world to see your videos, you need to plan your post times accordingly. Of course, you can’t pick the perfect time for everyone around the world, but you can find a compromise.

When does your audience wake up?
